Alicia Ali is a celebrated multidisciplinary artist whose work spans photography, textile installation, and performance poetry. Her artistic voice is deeply rooted in somatic awareness, blending traditional wisdom with contemporary spirituality to create transformative experiences. Alicia is recognized for her ability to bridge religious and cultural diversity through deeply intentional and expressive work.
Her creative journey began in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2002 and continues to thrive. Alicia has garnered recognition from esteemed figures and institutions, including members of the Saudi Royal Family, the Sultan of Brunei, and the ruling Qasimi family of Sharjah. In 2003, she co-founded Arabian Jewel, a visionary platform that promotes regional art, culture, and spirituality. The platform also produced the Artisans of Love documentary series, showcasing various facets of Arabian heritage.
Alicia has significantly contributed to the evolution of the arts in the Gulf region. In 2015, she facilitated Saudi Arabia’s first Master Class in Documentary Filmmaking, bringing in acclaimed directors such as Ovidio Salazar, Ben Salem Bouabdallah, and Omar Faruk Aksoy—pioneers of Euro-Islamic spiritual cinema. Her ongoing collaborations with artists and cultural institutions have led to the curation of exhibitions and sacred heritage tours, including spiritual journeys to Mecca and Medina in partnership with local experts.
Since 2017, Alicia has worked as an independent artist, completing high-profile commissions for clients such as the Shareef al-Hussain family. Her work has been featured in prestigious venues including KAUST’s SACRED WITHINexhibit, the Under the Abaya photography showcase, and TEDx Arabia.
Her commitment to spiritual development and holistic wellness is central to her practice. In 2009, Alicia launched Arabia’s First Online Zawiyya for Spiritual Training and Human Excellence, offering integrated programs in coaching, creative expression, and therapeutic healing.
Her diverse qualifications include training in film and documentary production, poetic therapy, spiritual life coaching, workshop facilitation, leadership development, and natural birth practices. Through her imprint, Diwan E Ishq, Alicia continues to produce legacy-based publications and art that celebrate the sacredness of the human experience.
Alicia is also the author of A Hijazi Gift of Love, the first Qasida Burda ever published in both Arabic and English within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Additionally, she is the creator of Dost, an ongoing seven-volume poetic series on the path of love.
Alicia Ali’s work serves as a bridge between cultures, generations, and spiritual traditions—offering audiences around the world an invitation to reflect, connect, and transform.
