‘When Art meets Art’
Title: Spirit of Unity Through Art: An Exhibit of Hatice Kaufmann’s Works and Saqibi Seif’s Writing
Objective: To raise awareness about individuals with disabilities and promote inclusivity in the art community and society as a whole through the exhibition of Hatice Kaufmann’s works in collaboration with author Saqibi Seif.
Duration: The exhibit is anticipated to run for one month.
Venue: The exhibit will take place at the Contemporary Art Museum in the city center.
Artists:
- Hatice Kaufmann: Photographer and multimedia artist who showcases the beauty of the Divine in all beings through her photographs, while also actively engaged in promoting an awareness of a conscious approach to water and light and improving the situation of widows in Egypt and India.
- Saqibi Seif: Author, poet, and digital artist who found his calling to write through the encouragement of his female mentor and has since published four books, despite living with SMA.
- Alicia Ali: Interdisciplinary artist and creative director who co-founded Arabian Jewel, a platform that connects expatriates and visitors to Saudi Arabia through art, culture, and Artisans of Love. Her private labels range from fashion, holistic education, philanthropy, and a publishing house for creative works.
Overview:
- The exhibit aims to highlight the importance of inclusivity in the art community and society as a whole.
- Hatice Kaufmann’s works will be showcased alongside Saqibi Seif’s writing to demonstrate the power of unity through art.
- The centerpiece of the exhibit will be Kaufmann’s work, Pearls of Fatima Al-Zahra, which serves as a reminder to reawaken the feminine spirit in humanity and promote compassion, mercy, love, and service.
- The exhibit will also include a live poetry reading by Saqibi and Alicia and a post-exhibit workshop on poetry and photography by Alicia and Hatice.
Schedule: 1 Month
- Day 1 Opening reception with keynote speeches from Hatice Kaufmann, Saqibi Seif, and Alicia Ali.
- Day 2 Exhibition of Hatice Kaufmann’s works and Saqibi Seif’s writing.
- Day 13 Live poetry reading by Saqibi and Alicia.
- Day 23 Post-exhibit workshop on poetry and photography by Alicia and Hatice.
- Day 28 Closing reception.
Funding:
- Corporate sponsorships and donations from art enthusiasts and disability rights advocates will be sought to cover the expenses of the exhibit.
- Tickets for the exhibit, live poetry reading, and workshop will also be sold to generate revenue.
